The Story
Rick was born in Italy on 24th April, 1922. At the age of 17 he enrolled in the Italian Army and was sent to Libya. In 1941 he was captured by the Allied Forces in Benghazi and sent to Australia.
Cattle
Rick Pisaturo began breeding beef cattle 50 years ago and became one of the most important figures in the beef cattle industry. His stud beef cattle broke Australasian records and won many titles and championships.
He managed to succeed against resistance in an industry where he was not only a newcomer in his early days but also from a background of POW to Australia. His determination and strive for perfection beat the odds as his cattle showed some remarkable statistics.
